Organization Description

Climate Resolve builds collaborations to champion equitable climate solutions. We connect communities, organizations and policymakers to address a global problem with local action. We inclusively develop practical initiatives that reduce climate pollution and prepare for climate impacts. Using our collective power to tackle climate change, we are creating a thriving California and inspiring others to act. Our purpose is a just and resilient future.

Position Overview & Description

As part of our mission to realize climate solutions in Los Angeles and surrounding areas, Climate Resolve concurrently manages several initiatives that are designed to promote and implement equitable strategies that improve the lives of residents now in the face of climate change—not 50, 30, or even 15 years down the line. To achieve this goal, part of our work includes translating the science of climate impacts into communications and media that are digestible to the public and help galvanize them to take action. Additionally, we lead outreach campaigns that offer ways for individuals to implement tangible, realistic climate solutions on a day-to-day basis that benefit their lives and livelihoods. The Fellow’s role and contributions will work with our Communications staff to create shareable media content that will highlight Climate Resolve’s and our partners’ multi-pronged approach to achieving equitable climate resilience strategies.

  • Assist in publishing and scheduling content for all social media channels

  • Support with the documentation of events via photography and videography

  • Support the development team in the creation of content to support fundraising events and our annual gala

Fellow Experience

Climate Resolve is a team of passionate and hard-working professionals dedicated to finding local solutions to climate change. We aim to find joy and fun in our work on a daily basis. We utilize the diverse skill set of our team members to collaborate across the organization and with external partners. We have a detailed onboarding process that will help you get up-to-speed on the organization, and you will have 1-1s with each staff member upon your first month of joining the organization. Though you will mainly work on projects with your supervisor and project team, we have weekly staff meetings and monthly lunch opportunities to get to know all staff. Fellows are invited to staff trainings, professional development days, and retreats.

We have a supportive teamwork culture with the option to participate in Peer Learning sessions. There is a group dedicated to offering young staff a space to learn from other peers within Climate Resolve. A hybrid working arrangement is currently in place at Climate Resolve, with support for the fellow to come into the office while still having the ability to work from home. A specific schedule will be determined with the supervisor.
