What is the Food Security Network?

We value each part of our nation’s complex food system. Whether it’s the mom-and-pop family farm, the nation’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or even the neighborhood food pantry, all resources are crucial to keeping our nation fed, healthy, and food secure.

We have reached out to food banks, food pantries, soup kitchens, rural farms, urban farms, and food justice organizations in each state to create the Food Security Network; a resource where you can search for food resources in your zip code and community. When searching resources you will be able to find essential information like eligibility requirements, food delivery options, and accessibility information for individuals with disabilities.

Thanks to the Ford Foundation, the Food Security Network is highlighting all the good that is already happening in communities across the country, and it will show the communities that need extra assistance with obtaining fresh and healthy food.
