The video below depicts a 25-minute interview facilitated by Kelly Timmons of Kelly’s Kitchen with cookbook author Jules Sherred. Jules wrote a book that recently came out called “Crip Up The Kitchen”; a cookbook with accessibility and disability inclusion in mind from start to finish. As someone with a disability himself, Jules knows first-hand the importance of creating a cookbook and resource for people who need additional supports and alternative methods of information relay.

This video alternates between Kelly, a white woman with white hair in a ponytail wearing a Kelly’s Kitchen polo shirt, and Jules Sherred, a white man with dark hair who has a background on his camera showing the front cover of his new cookbook as they discuss the book. In the top right corner is an ASL interpreter by a Black woman with short hair wearing all black. Closed Captioning in bold white font is the bottom third of the video screen.
